We hope you’re all enjoying the Summer sunshine, but just in case it hasn’t been as sunny as you might have wished, we thought you might want to know what’s been happening at Bulldog Tools over the last couple of months!

Best in Show

Legacy GardenEveryone here at Bulldog Tools was delighted when the Perennial Legacy Garden designed by Paul Hervey-Brookes that we helped to sponsor at this year’s RHS Flower Show Tatton Park won both a well-deserved gold medal and was named ‘Best in Show’. Our congratulations go to everyone at the Perennial charity as well as Paul and contractor GK Wilson Landscapes who were all instrumental in making the Legacy Garden such a great success. The garden was designed to symbolise different elements of an English country estate, reflecting Perennial’s heritage. Perennial is the UK’s only charity dedicated to helping people who work in horticulture, so if you’re interested in finding out more about the work they do, please visit their website at: www.perennial.org.uk.

750 Facebook Friends

Another really big ‘thank you’ to everyone who has visited and ‘liked’ our new Bulldog Tools Garden Club Facebook page – we hope that everyone is enjoying the mix of garden news, views and information along with a good helping of garden tools. The page has now passed 750 ‘likes’ and we are really excited about all the positive comments, likes and shares we have received, especially the photos and videos that followers have sent us of their own gardening projects. In the coming weeks we will be giving lucky Facebook fans the chance to win some free Bulldog Tools, so please keep visiting the page at: www.facebook.com/bulldogtoolsgardenclub to make sure you don’t miss out!

New RHS Chatsworth Show

ChatsworthThe Royal Horticultural Society has announced that from 2017 they will be adding a brand new flower show at the Chatsworth Estate in Derbyshire to their portfolio. The new show is scheduled to be an annual event, taking place each year in early June with the historic house and landscape of Chatsworth as an amazing backdrop. As with other RHS shows, there will be a fantastic range of specialist nurseries, outdoor lifestyle shopping and garden inspiration at every turn and Bulldog Tools are hoping that we will be able to become part of this exciting new event.

Gardening Tips from Bulldog

This week we launched our first set of monthly tips for jobs to do around the garden in August on our Facebook page – Bulldog Tools Garden Club. Tips for this month include regular deadheading, watering containers regularly and collecting seed from favourite plants for future use. We hope that if the feature remains popular with our followers we will be able to help gardeners with some useful reminders to keep their gardens looking at their best all year round. If you want to read more about this and see all our tips for August, please visit the page at: www.facebook.com/bulldogtoolsgardenclub
