This year for the first time our Bulldog Tools stand for The Chelsea Flower Show featured our range of Ethel Gloves.

Ethel Gloves are a range of gardening gloves designed exclusively for women and come in a stylish range of innovative fabrics which give a lady’s hands protection whilst still allowing for touch. You can read more about them here in our previous post.

Bulldog’s week at Chelsea got off to a great start when our Ethel Rose gloves were featured in The Daily Telegraph’s special Chelsea Flower Show supplement in their ‘Shoptalk’ section. Things got even better on Tuesday afternoon when our joint Bulldog Tools/Ethel Gloves stand was awarded a Certificate of Commendation by the RHS for ‘the high quality presentation’ of our stand.

After such a positive commencement to the show, it was not a complete surprise that we went on to sell 20 per cent more gloves than last year, selling one pair of Ethel Gloves for every 3 minutes that the 2013 Chelsea Flower Show was open!

Among the new customers trying Ethel Gloves was actress and comedienne Maureen Lipman, pictured here holding her new pair of Ethel Expression traditional gloves. And it seems that Ethel Gloves are making an impression everywhere with Austrian gardening magazine, Mein Schöner Garten featuring our Canterbury, Saffron Bamboo and Jubilee gloves in their June edition!

Because the gloves offer great fit and protection for women’s hands, a number of ladies returned to the stand again this year having been very pleased with the Ethel Gloves they had purchased at the 2012 show.

Ethel Gloves are available to buy from amazon, John Lewis and Quality Garden Tools.

Dear Bulldog

I have to tell you I have used Ethel Gloves for two seasons now and they fit really snug. It is quite hard to garden wearing gloves but these fit beautifully so they do not get on my nerves flopping about! They have even saved my manicure from being ruined, so saves me money to!

I have washed these in warm water and they have come up lovely like new! Well done ! Keep up the good work

Best Regards Teresa 😉
