This year’s centenary of The Chelsea Flower Show is a big celebration of all things both horticultural and British. The show opened today to journalists, VIPs and The Royal Family before opening to members of the RHS tomorrow and the general public on Thursday.

As ever the gardens are the stars of the show, with special attention focused on the Sentebale Forget-Me-Not Garden which HRH Prince Harry helped to design and was visited by Her Majesty the Queen this evening. Other favourites for the ‘Best in Show’ garden include Ulf Nordfjell’s Laurent-Perrier Garden, The Telegraph Garden designed by Christopher Bradley-Hole, the Trailfinders Australian Garden and the Arthritis Research UK Garden which Chris Beardshaw designed.

Bulldog Tools know all about the hard work required to create a gold medal winning garden having won our own gold medal (which now appears on the label of our tools) for our Bulldog Forge Garden in 2011 and we would like to wish all the garden designers at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show good luck for when the medals are awarded tomorrow.

The 2013 Bulldog Tools stand is our biggest ever, not only does it include our famous British made garden tools, but for the first time we are also showing our new range of Ethel Gloves on the same stand.

Because 2013 is the 100th anniversary of the show we have also created some very special limited edition border spade and fork sets with beautiful old ‘Box D’ style handles. The tools are solid forged, and lacquered ‘raw’, giving them a lovely aged patina and are limited to just 15 sets.

If you are attending the show this year we’d love to meet you on our stand. We are located on Eastern Avenue (EA25), but if you can’t visit you can still see all our great British garden tools here on our website.
