Welome to Day 1 of the Chelsea build.

Here’s our lorry being unpacked:

Along with unloading, today the main task was to mark out the garden. As the RHS are not keen on exhibitors digging down into the existing soil, we need to build it up by around 9 inches – ┬áso getting the layout right is crucial!

The forge is a jigsaw of sections, all requiring lifting and positioning into place. It is beginning to look good already with the windows and forge hood in place. In the final hours we placed the flag stones that make up the floor. Tomorrow should see the roof on and the start of the cobble paths!
